Cristina Marolda from DG MOVE informally confirms that EC support DG CONNECT to keep the overall responsibility for major part of Cybersecurity related research needs. The background should be to avoid splitting the Cybersecurity area.
As a result, public financing will mainly be managed from DG CONNECT with assistance from DG RTD and DG Connect. This will be reflected in upcoming Horizon 2020 Work Program for 2018-2020.
